With Alpine Access the story is a slightly different: as they hire you as employee, then:

Q: Do I have to be a U.S. citizen?

A: No. If you can provide legal documentation proving you are eligible for employment in the U.S., you may apply. Please note that Alpine Access participates in E-Verify and work eligibility status is confirmed through the Social Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Of course you need to show eligibility for employment in the USA. In other words, you need to show the notorious green card, if I have well understood.

Funny also that they state: “you may apply”…or not according to their liking.  :-D

Wikipedia tells me the conditions through which I can obtain a green card (or permanent resident status):

U.S. immigration legislation in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) stipulates that a person may obtain permanent resident status primarily through the course of the following proceedings:[6]

  • immigration through a family member
  • immigration through employment
  • immigration through investment
  • immigration through the Diversity Lottery
  • immigration through Refugee or Asylum status
  • immigration through “The Registry” provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act

So, if I have well understood, Alpine Access doesn’t want to be the first who gives you employment in the USA but I have written them asking confirmation of this.

As usual – I have taken the opportunity to also ask if they can refer to another agency which hires people who are NOT eligible for employment in the USA. Never say never.

Keep you posted!
